The Leiden Manifesto for research metrics

Research evaluation has become routine and often relies on metrics. But it is increasingly driven by data and not by expert judgement. The manifesto, written by five experts, one of them being Ismael Rafols from INGENIO [CSIC-UPV], have proposed ten principles for the measurement of research performance. It has been published as a comment in Nature.
